Enable Outlook to be able to send from Abacus
When in Abacus you should be able to send an e-mail from the matter without having to go to Outlook. Currently you have to go to Abacus get the clients e-mail address, then open email in Outlook, put n the clients email address, send then link.

Charlene Wainright, Billing SpecialistAbacus already has this option. You open a matter, then click onthe "EMAIL" button on the top button bar and a pop-up window appears. In the "To" field, click it and select "Related Names". IF the email address is in Abacus, you can select it from here. Once you hit send, an Outlook email pops up with the form email and the recipient already filled in.

SWGThis is a great idea. If abacus had a built-in email client then it would save the additional steps both in sending and linking.

Ada G. Llerena, Esq.Here's a wrinkle to this suggestion: When you create an email from within Abacus, and the popup box appears, the "Related Names" tab should include the attorneys within the office that are associated to the matter. Right now, we would need to add ourselves to the Names tab for our email addresses to appear so we can be copied on emails. How about fixing that problem?

Elaine McCrackenI agree! There should be a way to email a pre-bill to an attorney in the office without having to change the default email setting of the client. The only way around it now is to save the pre-bill (which is crazy) and then I can send it internally as an attachment.
